Kylie was born and raised in Northern California, and has had an innate passion for horses since she was a young girl. At age 10 Kylie began taking Hunter / Jumper lessons. After a few years of lessoning, she was taught how to manage a training and conditioning program for multiple horses a week as a junior working student.

In high school, Kylie’s passion for Show Jumping was ignited. This is when she grew into managing care and feed programs for a 30 horse barn. Kylie then began showing in the “A” rated shows in Northern and Southern California, while continuing her barn management position. Her passion grew not only for the sport, but for the entire Jumper division. Early in her show career she was winning multiple championships monthly with her lease horse, so she bought her first horse and began showing both horses successfully in the Jumper division.

Kylie began her training career in 2014 in Northern California as an assistant trainer. In 2020 she then continued and expanded her career in Orange County, CA as assistant trainer for Turning Point Farms in Coto De Caza, focusing primarily on the Hunter and Equitation rings. This is where Kylie found her mentor, under whom her career and talent as a trainer grew. There she helped manage their “A” “AA” show barn clientele. Kylie also managed and ran their robust lesson program, teaching 25+ lessons a week.

Looking for a change of atmosphere, Kylie and her husband Jason moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2022 and have fallen in love with the area since.

With Kylie's experience in working with top quality show barns in California and her ever growing passion for horses and the industry, she founded Haven Equestrian to deliver quality and excellence to Eastern North Carolina.
